Open the camera app on your phone and point it at the QR code. A link will pop up at the top of the screen.
Read the link before you tap it. A safe link usually starts with the company's real website name.
Never scan QR codes on flyers left on your car or sent in unexpected text messages — those are common scams.
When in doubt, type the website address into your browser instead of scanning.
