Medicare will never call you to ask for your number, sell you a plan, or threaten to cancel your benefits.
If a caller pressures you to act 'today only' or asks for your Medicare number, hang up.
Texts saying you have a 'package delivery' or a 'new Medicare card' are almost always scams.
When you're not sure, call the number on the back of your insurance card to verify.
